Falmouth a little further away, with both the National Maritime Museum and also Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII are well worth visiting.

The cathedral city of Truro is a similar distance. At Helston, something more than an hour’s drive away, is Flambard’s Theme Park, as well as the viewing area for RNAS Culdrose.
